all the citizens and visitors of Celina
.

Preamble to the Celina Fire Department Constitution

All persons answering the call of duty as a member of the Celina Fire Department
should be prompted to do so by a completely unselfish desire to be of assistance to
their fellow man, however dangerous it may be. They shall expect no reward and
shall not actively seek any reward. They shall acknowledge all thanks to an
organization of men and women of the highest caliber who offer themselves as
fighters against the ravages of fire, community hazards and medical emergencies.

The Firefighter's Prayer

When
I am called to duty, God,
wherever flames may rage,
Give me strength to save some life,
whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child, before it's too late,
Or save an older person from the horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert, and hear the weakest shout,
And quickly and effectively put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling, and give the best in me,
To guard my every neighbor and protect his property,
And if accoding to Your will, I have to lose my life,
Please bless with your protecting hand,
my children and my wife.
